Personal information remains personal, even if it is otherwise publicly available. Personal information does not include data that has been modified or anonymized in such a way that it can no longer be used to directly or indirectly identify a person (anonymous personal information).

You can browse our website without providing any personal information. However, with your consent or unless required or permitted by law, we may collect, use, store, and transfer the following types of personal information about you:

  • Aggregated data
  • Contact information
  • Employment details
  • Identity information
  • Financial information
  • Business and communication data
  • Purchase history
  • Security footage
  • Technical information

If we collect, use, store, or transfer your personal information, we will do so only for one of the following purposes:

To process your purchase, return, or exchange

For purchases made on our website, we collect your billing and shipping address, phone number, email address, and any message included on a gift card (if applicable) to ensure product delivery. We may also collect optional information, such as your date of birth, which may be used to send you a birthday card.

When you return or exchange purchased products, we may ask for your name, address, and phone number. This information is collected for administrative purposes, including helping to detect and prevent fraud.

For returns that require a refund to a debit or credit card, we will ask for your card details to process and administer the refund transaction.

To Support Our Marketing and Advertising Efforts

We may share your personal information with third parties that provide services on our behalf, such as payment processing, website hosting, email or other communications on our behalf, contest and promotion management, or analyzing the effectiveness of our advertising strategy.

Igo uses remarketing tracking cookies, including Google Ads, Facebook, and other social media platforms. This means we will continue to display advertisements to you on the Internet, particularly on the Google Display Network, Facebook, and affiliate partners. As always, we respect your privacy and do not collect any personally identifiable information through Google or any other remarketing system.

Service providers, including Google, whose services we use, will place cookies on web browsers to display ads based on past visits to our website. This allows us to offer special promotions and continue marketing our services to those who have previously shown interest.

To Improve Our Website Performance and Content

We may collect information about you and your use of our website through technical means such as cookies, web beacons, and other analytical tools. This may include your IP address, login data, browser type and version, time zone and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technologies used on the devices you use to access this website.

We use this information as necessary to administer and improve our website and its content, ensure it operates efficiently and securely, develop our business, and refine our commercial strategy. We may also create aggregated statistical data from this information (e.g., the total number of website visitors), which is not considered personal information.

We, or other advertisers, may also use this data to deliver targeted advertisements to you. When these ads are personalized, they may involve the use of website activity data and information obtained from third parties (either by us or advertisers working on our behalf). This does not include personally identifiable information such as your name or contact details.

When our advertisements are displayed to you using your information, we do so as necessary, based on our legitimate business interests in engaging with you.

Disclosure of Personal Information

Except as outlined in this policy, we are committed not to disclose, rent, sell, or transfer personal information about our customers to third parties without obtaining prior consent.

Law Enforcement and Legal Disclosure

Igo may disclose your personal information to a federal institution that has asserted its lawful authority to obtain such information. Additionally, Igo may disclose personal information if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the information could be useful in an investigation into illegal activity, to comply with a subpoena, warrant, or court order issued by a tribunal, individual, or entity with the authority to compel the disclosure of information, to comply with court rules regarding the production of documents and information, or to provide information to Igo’s legal counsel.

Cookies and Invisible Pixels

Our website uses a technology called cookies. A cookie is a small piece of data that our website may send to your browser, which may then be stored on your hard drive. This allows us to recognize you when you return to our website.

We use cookies on pages that require you to log in or that offer customization options. If you have registered on our website, these cookies help us identify you and may be necessary to provide you with the products or services you request. Cookies may also provide us, or our service providers, with information used to personalize our website according to your preferences.

You can configure your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie. However, if you choose not to accept cookies from our website, you may not be able to take full advantage of all its features.

Our website may also use a technology known as “tracer tags” or “invisible pixels.” This technology allows us to track which pages of our website you visit. These tracer tags help us optimize and personalize our website for you and future visitors.

If you prefer not to be recognized when visiting our website, you can always browse in private/incognito mode. You can also clear your browsing history to remove any traces of your visit.

Security of Personal Information

We understand that our customers trust us with the protection of their personal information, and we take this responsibility seriously. We have implemented measures to safeguard the personal information in our custody and control. Access to personal information is restricted to authorized employees and service providers who require it for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.

However, you should be aware that no data transmission over the Internet can be considered completely secure. As a result, Igo does not represent or guarantee that personal information will not be lost, misused, or altered, and assumes no liability for the personal information you transmit, nor for any use or misuse of personal information by you or third parties.

Below are some recommendations to help ensure the security of your online purchases:

  • If you are using a public computer, always log out when you are finished.
  • Do not share your passwords. Remember that anyone who knows your password can access your account.
  • When creating a password, use at least eight characters, including a combination of letters and numbers. Do not use dictionary words, your name, your email address, or other easily obtainable personal information. We also recommend changing your password regularly.
  • Use a unique password for each of your online accounts.
  • Be cautious of unsolicited emails and phone calls.
  • Additionally, Igo will never contact you to request information about your credit card number or bank account. This information is only transmitted to Igo when you complete a transaction, contact Igo directly, or update your online account.

If you receive a suspicious email containing a link asking you to update your account information, do not click on the link. Instead, access your account directly at igopro.ca. If you receive an unsolicited email or call from an unknown party asking you to confirm or provide your password, personal details, or banking information, ignore the request and contact us immediately.

Credit Card Payment Security

For security and fraud prevention purposes, credit card payments made on this website will only be accepted by Igo if the name and billing address match the name and address associated with the buyer’s credit card.

If the information does not match, your order will be declined, even if the transaction was pre-authorized by your bank. In such cases, the amount will be refunded to your account, which may take three to five business days.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

This privacy policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our personal data protection practices. The revised privacy policy will be published on our website.

We will handle your personal information in accordance with the privacy policy in effect at the time of collection, or as otherwise agreed with you. If any changes are made to this privacy policy, a modified version will be posted on our website as soon as possible after the update.
